While these donkeys are not carrying Bibles - it isn’t uncommon for the Runners to use any mode of transportation to get Bibles into the hands of believers.

Bible = New Life

Bible = New Life

2022 - I am Saima from Pakistan. I was very depressed due to some family issues after divorce. I couldn’t find peace or hope. I was continuously tried but when I received my Bible, I wrote down Psalm 119:5. I believe my life is now blessed and I am made new as I am totally changed! All honor to our Almighty!

90 Bibles were passed out to this growing church. It took the Bible Runners a 6 hour bus ride and a 1 hour motorbike ride to get to them. The “roads” were comparable to rough trails in the United States. Many times, the Runners had to stop and walk as the terrain was too rough.

A home fellowship’s Bible. About 50 people were sharing this Bible. PBR supplied each believer of this home fellowship with a Bible in August 2019!

He was a 4th generation Witch Doctor, and carried around a calabash that was said to house evil spirits. His wife had received a Bible in March 2018. She made the decision to follow Jesus and when she did, her husband’s “spirits” were bothered. He was tormented in his sleep and couldn’t deny that his wife’s God was bigger and more powerful than the spirits he carried with him.

In December 2019, he received a Bible of his own and committed his life to Jesus, causing him to loose his status and employment. He also burned his calabash. He is now a Jesus follower and is making a living by working on a neighboring farm!

76 Reading Glasses - October 2019

76 Reading Glasses - October 2019

A small church in the USA collected 76 pairs of reading glasses to send on a Bible Run to Uganda. The Runners often find that the elderly, although they have never owned a Bible - and have prayed for one - do not take them because they cannot afford reading glasses. This is an added blessing and we can always use more glasses to take with us on any Bible Runs.

Running Bibles is not for the faint hearted. Following the outline provided in Luke 10 - running 2 x 2, staying with people of peace, eating what is given to us and willing to do whatever it takes to fellow believers, even climbing mountains with suitcases - filled with the Word of God.

Kampala, Uganda 2019

Kampala, Uganda 2019

People waited for hours and traveled long distances to receive the Word of God. Even after distributing over 600 Bibles in this part of Kampala - the list of names continue to grow. Our contact in Kampala shares with us that the names on the list has almost reached 400 more people as of December 2019.

Wanting to Be Baptized

Wanting to Be Baptized

After being taught about Jesus, this woman along with many in her village wanted to commit their lives to Jesu and be baptized. However, they were in a drought and water was highly sought after. They were told to come back at night, and the pool that the teacher brought with her would be filled up and ready for baptism. All day, the teacher prayed for rain and all day the villagers had doubt about baptism that evening. However, one hour before the scheduled meeting time - it started rain! The pool was filled and most of the village was baptized! And now some of them are equipped with Bibles!

"The Islands" Kenya 2019

"The Islands" Kenya 2019

About to land with 45 Bibles. It doesn’t matter how rural the believers are - we are called to “Go”. This particular trip included 3 remote islands, 2 of which were considered “unreached” islands - the team did not see or talk to anyone who owned a Bible. Praise the Lord! It is no longer “unreached” and many believers are now equipped with the Word of God!

We know that we are not only equipping her mother with a Bible, but that she will also grow up in home where the Bible is read everyday for the rest of her childhood.
